Privacy Policy
Wilderness Prime Uploader · Effective 16 June 2026
This privacy policy describes the data practices of the Wilderness Prime Uploader (“the tool”), a private command-line application operated solely by its developer and owner, David Brophy (“the operator”), to manage the operator's own YouTube channel, Wilderness Prime.
1. Single-user, private tool
The tool is not a product or service offered to the public or to any other person. It has a single user — the operator — and cannot be used by anyone else. It runs on the operator's own computer and a personal virtual machine, and is operated only from a command line.
2. Data the tool accesses
The tool accesses only the operator's own data, using the operator's own Google account through Google OAuth 2.0 authorisation. This includes the operator's own YouTube videos, playlists, thumbnails and caption transcripts, and the operator's own Google Sheet and cloud storage folders. It does not access any data belonging to any other person.
3. YouTube API Services
The tool uses YouTube API Services. By using it, the operator is agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
4. Data the tool stores
- Video metadata (titles, descriptions, tags, scheduled dates, video IDs) and downloaded transcripts are stored in the operator's own private Google Sheet, solely to manage the channel.
- An OAuth refresh token is stored locally on the operator's own machine to avoid repeated sign-in.
5. Data sharing
No data is sold, rented, shared with, or transferred to any third party. No data is displayed to any other person. The tool does not generate, store or expose any aggregated or derived analytics.
6. Data retention and removal
Because the only data held is the operator's own, the operator can review or delete it at any time by editing or clearing the Google Sheet, deleting the locally stored token, or revoking the tool's access in the operator's Google Account security settings. API data is refreshed on each run rather than retained long-term.
